Show n Tell

The story behind my header: We had to buy a new car (pre-owned) almost 3 years ago. As we searched for over a month we found a Ford Excursion. This is a HUGE SUV! We found a great deal and was able to pay cash for it. (This was a God thing.) We got it for around $13,000, low mileage and excellent shape. I made a joke to my husband about calling it Tom's Chicks. He gave me the look as if I was crazy. Then I said how about Daddy's Chicks. Which he then thought was cute. We are big Dave Ramsey fan's. He has a cardinal rule that he speaks about on his DVD's: "The wife always gets the newest car." I joked about it with my husband. This is true, they want us to be safe. That spring break we had someone make or tag. The three chick's are my two daughters and me. Now I drive the Excursion most of the time, but when my husband drives it he gets so many smiles as people read the front tag. It's so cute! I try to be a good stewart and make my trips out to be efficient. We only have to fill it up with gas once a month. Gas prices are so high and even though it is paid for when we fill it up it doesn't seam to hurt our pocket as bad as if we had a car payment too.

Have a blessed weekend and thanks for visiting:)!

What a sweet story about how your blog got its' name. We have a small suv and because we live in the most inconvenient place we have a commute everywhere we have to go! At least my husband has a company vechicle!
Blessing and hugs,Pam

Thanks for sharing! I assumed that it was a tag from your vehicle but knowing the story behind it makes it that much cuter!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I love your car tag. When your husband drives the SUV, the world knows that you and the girls are always close to his heart. Thank you for sharing.
Have a blessed Friday.

Happy Belated Anniversary. How did I get your e-mail instantly? I am sitting at my desk working on my Christmas cards, instead of checking my kids' schoolwork.

I have always wondered about the title!! The best way to go is to own your car. We own both of ours. Best thing we have done is not have a car payment!
