Today I would like to show a hankie sampler. They are the beautiful hand work of my girls that are in my Felicity classes on Tuesdays at Timothy Ministry. The classes are made up of 1st grade - 5th grade girls. I used a Disappearing ink to draw their first initial. They pick out the Embroidery floss color they wanted and traced over the ink with tiny stitches.
Some of them added more. They did such a lovely job.

Lovely handkerchiefs!
My daughter has read the American girl series.
What a great craft!
Wow, Trina, those crafts are beautiful. That looks like a fun class.
Those are beautiful!!! My grandmother always had hankies like that, and I have a couple of them as keepsakes.
Thanks for visiting my blog - we stopped by the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta just over a year ago, on our way to DisneyWorld. Talk about a dream vacation for us! LOL We'd love to go back to Atlanta and spend some more time there.
Blessings,
Kym
They worked very hard on those.
Have a great weekend.

What a wonderful job they all did on their hankerchiefs. They are truly beautiful.
They did a great job. Must have had a wonderful teacher!
God bless,
Tammy
I agree! The samplers are wonderful. I used to embroider as a young girl--pillow cases and dresser scarves. Sadly, I did not pass this down very well to my DD. My father (!) taught me to knit, also, but my DD never seemed very interested. And then having 3 boys, it all sort of died out. *she sighs*
Maybe I can teach my granddaughters and revive some things....
Lovely! What a great idea to do -- will have to borrow it for my DD, after I teach her the stich, of course. I'll have to see if I remember how. =D
Oh They did a lovely job. Such a sweet tranquil class to teach.
They will be precious keepsakes for years to come. Someday their granddaughters will post them on what ever it is they will post them on as antiques!

Those hankies are adorable. That will be a great project for my daughter, who wants to learn how to sew.
