Restore us, O God;
make your face shine upon us.
Psalm 80:30
This is the time of year when I can feel most down. It’s winter and we spend much more time inside. The weather has so much to do with my mood. Dose it yours? I long for spring, just this mourning I saw the daffodil bulbs are beginning to poke out of the flower beds. So I know Spring is on it’s way. We all go through different seasons in our life and when we are down deep in a valley we turn our heads towards the mountain tops. We cry out,” Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us!” Speaking God’s word I can feel His spirit around me. It lifts me up! I am so thankful for my relationship with my heavenly father. I pray that you found encouragement when you read the verse.
Growing in Him,
Trina

I've been feeling down too and I know it has a lot to do with the weather.
What a beautiful promise from God that spring is on its way when you saw a daffodil starting to poke through. We have too much snow right now to see any flowers, but the little bit of extra light we have everyday tells me that spring is coming!
Trina: What a lovely verse to begin the day with! :) I feel like you in the winter, sometimes it feels like spring will never come, but it does! I hope you have a wonderful day. (Your daughters water color painting is lovely!)
~Have a blessed day.

You are so right about the winter blues. I think I would like to hibernate and wake when the earth is renewed. I have seen Hycinths and Crocus and my Creeping Phlox has a bloom so it is coming.
Have a great week. Its the valleys that make us thankful for the mountains.

I think we have the opposite problem, I get frustrated because I live in Florida and we never seem to have a winter. It is in the 80's right now. I know I should be grateful, but sometimes it is nice to have some sort of "seasons" =))
You have a neat blog here!
Blessings.
Trina,
Thank you for the verse. It's gloomy in Florida. I'm also in one of those funky moods. I needed to read Psalm 80:30 today.
Blessings
You reminded of another thing to be thankful for...a reminder of spring: I "forced" bulbs to bloom at Christmas as gifts this year. The forcing didn't work very well (they didn't bloom on schedule) but mine DID bloom this week and now as I do dishes I can smell the sweet smell of the coming spring from that little jar!
And, thanks for stopping by my bloggy home this morning! Blessings on the rest of your week!
Thanks for the verse Trina! I love the Spring Time and can hardly wait for it to begin!
Blessings,
Keisha
Wonderful post, Trina! Oh, that we would understand that God's face shines on us each and every day! He loves us that much!
Happy TT to you Trina,
Yes, spring time is just around the corner. Keep letting the SONshine inside.
Blessings to you...
Praying for your frowns to be turned upside down dear, be blessed.
Amen to that, Trina. Yes, His Word always gives me encouragement. I just love to soak it in just the sun :)
I am glad that spring is around the corner :)
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours...
