Fall Into Reading 2008

Today is the day . . . It's time to kick off Fall Into Reading 2008 with Katrina at Callapidder Days. Here is a list of books that I have on my nightstand, along with a list of what I will be reading aloud to my girls. I will add more books next week when my Hubby gets home from his managers conference. He works for Barnes & Noble! (A homeschool mom's blessing) He always returns home with some WONDERFUL books.
For ME:
  1. I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris I would like to read this before my girls even start thinking about boys.
  2. Your Girl : Raising a Godly Daughter in an Ungodly World by Vicki Courtney: This is a re-read for me. LOVE this Book!
For the Girls & I:
  1. Daughters of Destiny by Noelle Wheeler
For our Re~aloud:
  1. The Great Wheel by Robert Lawson

“Reading aloud with children is known to be the single most important activity for building the knowledge and skills they will eventually require for learning to read.”
- Marilyn Jager Adams
I look forward to seeing what everyone else is reading.
Happy reading . . .
In HIS Mighty Love,
Trina
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13

I like your list! I haven't read Beverly Lewis for awhile. I love her writing, though. Caddie Woodlawn is one of those I forgot about, but read when I was younger.

You have a great list there. I love Beverly Lewis. "I've Kissed Dating Goodbye" is a good book, too. I was just talking about it this evening at a meeting. I'm looking into your books about girls. After raising three boys, this raising a young lady is new to me!! Thanks for sharing your list and for commenting on my blog!!

Looks good! I have Vicki Courtney's Your Boy on my shelf, but haven't read it yet. I really need to soon, though -- it looks great.

Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading '08!
