Homeschool Memoirs: #7 Snack Foods

THEME
Awhile back
Mother Dear received a question on what snack foods to buy for homeschooling families, on the go or at home, and she inspired this week’s theme. There are so many different kinds of snack foods, store-bought and homemade, and I would like to invite you to share what snack foods your family usually snacks on throughout the week. You’re welcome to make season lists too. I know there are different meals we eat during the colder seasons than we do in the warmer ones, and I imagine there are also seasonal snack foods as well.

We do have a snack time every afternoon arond 3.

Here are some things we enjoy snacking on:

One of the things we love about the "Fall" is visiting our local orchard for some
"Fresh Picked Apples".
We have one of these apple peelers & the girls can peel the apples themselves
and then drizzle warm Carmel sauce over the top!

For a quick snck we also enjoy "mini" Goldfish . . . .

I just love the bite size shape!

After dinner desert you can't go wrong with some yummy TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip cookies from the tub. Again the girls can bake this together.
(They enjoy serving daddy and mommy food that they have made.)

A SPECIAL treat would be a bag of Coke Gummy's and

for an really EXTRA treat my down fall is a BIG bag of strawberry twizzlers!

Again we had a blast doing this!
In HIS Mighty Love,
Trina

Yummy! I LOVE apples and caramel together. I like twizzlers occasionally too but I have to admit cherry is my favorite!
Thanks for sharing your list.
I hope you have a wonderful day. :)

My parents got one of those apple peeler/slicer/corer gadgets and they are great! Around here we love apples and caramel sauce.

Have a great day!

Hi, thanks for the comment. I've never had the peanut butter ones. Are they good? I'm one of those who don't really experiment much in the food department, but maybe I'll try them one day.

Popcorn is another of my favorites! We just bought 100lbs of apples from a local orchard. The little shop at the orchard smells so delicious inside!

Blessings,
Miss Emily Rose

I love caramel on just about anything lol. I have never seen those coke gummies, if my kids find out about those I'm done for. ;) I like the new look to your blog. Have a great week.

Apples with warm caramel - YUM!! One of my favorites. The kids don't care for the caramel as much, but that's ok - more for me!:)

No wonder I like you so much. We can snack together all day. I think you listed just about every favorite snack that I like, too! lol. Hey, I just posted something about a curriculum I'm unsure of. Can you stop by and take a look and see if you have heard anything about it? Any information would help me. Thanks.

I love my apple peeler. We also have an apple slicer which cores and slices into eighths. :D

I used to eat those coke bottles or the strawberry gummies as a kid. :D
