Cow Appreciation Day 2010
Dress like a COW and get FREE Chick-fil-A!!! That's a no brainier for my family. Were that family who maps our summer trip down to Florida by what exits have a Chick-fil-A on them. We just love Chick-fil-A and are thankful for the meal we had that day. What a FUN one we had . . . we were so blessed to share it with a dear family. Here is a picture of us all together!!!
A Lady in the making . . .
In our family all birthday's start off when you first wake up to the family singing "Happy Birthday" to you in bed. Our oldest daughter Scottlyn tuned 11 this month.
We were down at my parents home for the weekend and took her to her favorite Mexican restaurant . . she got the hat there.
She was blessed with an iTouch from her Maw Maw and Paw Paw. Her Grammie and Papa gave her the purse with her initial on it. Plus it was filled with some CA$H in it. She will spend some of it one books from her favorite book store.

Can we say: SUNSHINE =;-}
For the past two days we have had some incredible weather low 70's will lots of SUNSHINE. The girls were just itching to get out and play with the water hose. Here are just a few pictures of their adventures:
They thought dumping water down the driveway,
it was like making their own waterfall! They had their own personal size pool . .
I mean galvanized buckets (it's a redneck thing).
Let's not forget the dogs who were more then happy to play too . . . today they gave them all baths outside . . .THANK YOU!!! It's one less thing for Daddy & Mommy to do this weekend.
I've been "Bling"!

Welcome to Mondays on Mothering . . . .
Well it is Monday again, a fresh start of a new week. Last week was crazy for us with doctors appointments and a day visiting my parents. Looking ahead at this week there is a peace that comes over me thinking of how much we are going to be back on our daily schedule. I think I need it as much as the girls need it.
I have a few wonderful "Mommy Moments"
that happen over the weekend that I would like to share:
We LOVE Goodwill!!
Sunday after church we pop in to have a look around and look what we found:
On Friday I returned to the Doctor to find out that my leg is starting to heal. You could see where the calcium is starting to build up around the broken bone. It is not completely healed and I need to wear my air cast for another 2 months. No long walks, no exercising and try to stay off of it as much as possible. Yuck! This was not a surprise at all. I still had swelling and it hurt when I walk up and down our stairs in our home. A student of mine that we visited on Friday told the girls that they needed to "BLING" my air cast.
So over the weekend they did and here is what it now looks like:
I am still here . . .
Hi ya'll!
It's been since May that I have been blogging and I miss my blogging buddies. Please forgive me :)! I do need to get back into the swing of things. We have enjoyed all of May and June off from school. We are 3 weeks into our new school year and loving it! See side bar for what we are doing this year. The big thing is we have switch to Sunlight. So far so good!
What is on my mind right now:
I need to upload some new pictures to the blog over this weekend.
Run errands on Friday: Uniform store (girls need new Timothy shirts), Kohls (got a 30% off coupon) and I need some basic things, Costco and Publix: pantry is bare.
Family serving at the Give a Kid a Chance - Back-to-school bash.
Finish planning my Timothy classes for the fall (Timothy starts 8/19)
Tom's birthday is next week (want to make it special for him)
Sunday afternoon we are headed over to a friends house for a summer bbq!
I will catch you up with what we have been doing over the next week. Have a great weekend!
